NCC- (National Cadet Corps)

The National Cadet Corps came into existence on 16th July1948 under the NCC Act XXXVI of 1948 under the Ministry of Defense. The Motto of the NCC is ‘Unity and Discipline’ which was adopted on 23rd December1957. In lining up to its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of our nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of our country and molding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of our nation.

The aims of NCC is to develop character, commandership, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country; to create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation; to provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

NCC in the college plays a credible role in shaping the character of students by instilling the values of patriotism, service, discipline and hard work. Training in NCC insists qualities like nationalism, patriotism, discipline, team spirit, leadership, self-confidence and promote overall personality development. NCC gives a tremendous opportunity to one and all betterment, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and economic status. Based on the aims of NCC; the organization has laid down training syllabi for cadets. The syllabus for the Senior Division Cadets covers a period of three years. Except for minor the syllabus for each division is similar for boy and girl cadets. The training year matches the academic and financial year.

Session - 2022-2023

The 1coy NCC of University of Patanjali,Haridwar is functioning under the 31 UK Battalion NCC, Hardwar, Utarakhand from session-2022-23 which authorized the total strength is 160 including SD and SW cadets. The unit has an enrolled strength 79 cadets of which 51 are girls, which includes the Open Quota. The second years include 15 SD and 16 SW’s and the first year include 13 SD and 34 SW’s. Cadets enrolled were given institutional training and can participate in adventurous activities, community development programmes, various camps at annual training camps, sports and cultural activities. The NCC Company of the college comes under the 31 UK Battalion NCC, Hardwar, Utarakhand NCC Directorate. Brigadier Ajeeth Rana as our Group Commander and Colonel Vinay Malhotra as the Commanding Officer.

  • 32 NCC cadets (17 Girls and 15 Boys) attended the CATC camp in order to get qualified for the ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate exams.
  • 31 NCC cadets will attend the ‘B’ and 01 cadet will attend the ‘C’ certificate examinations in the month of February 2024.

University of Patanjali is a manifestation of the divine vision of Yogrishi Swami Ramdev Ji and Ayurved Shiromani Acharya Balkrishna Ji who have established a centre of holistic learning blending ancient wisdom with modern knowledge.
