Department of History in the University of Patanjali started functioning from the year 2024, however, history as an elective subject is being taught at the graduation level since 2020. The objective of the department is to focus on historical values and educational system of India. The course work provides a holistic and authentic view of history to the students and researchers and aims at conducting authentic research work in various disciplines of Indian history, including the history of Yoga and other ancient knowledge systems. The emphasis is on the tradition of authentic history writing by removing the discrepancies and to create a new India by drawing knowledge from the golden past and also to introduce the general public to the invaluable contributions of Indian historians.
